John LaDisa is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Director of the MARquette Visualization Lab (MARVL). He also holds adjunct appointments in Cardiovascular Medicine and Physiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Prior to his current role, John was a postdoctoral scholar in Pediatric Cardiology and Bioengineering at Stanford University for 2.5 years after earning his PhD in Biomedical Engineering. During this time he took courses in Stanford’s highly-recognized Biodesign and Innovation program. He subsequently advanced several concepts for a progressive expansion diameter stent through the patentability, market assessment and prototype stages of development under the guidance of personnel within Stanford’s Office of Technology Licensing.
